PU Undergraduate Programs 2nd Admission Test 2026-27
The University of the Punjab, Lahore, has officially announced the commencement of the 2nd Admission Test for all prospective undergraduate students seeking enrollment for the 2026-27 academic year. Appearing in this mandatory entrance examination is a prerequisite for candidates intending to apply for various undergraduate degree programs at the university. This second test is currently scheduled to take place on July 19, 2026.
Eligibility and Admission Test Categories
To be eligible for the PU Undergraduate programs Admission Test, applicants must have successfully completed their Higher Secondary School Certificate HSSC or equivalent Grade 12 education, or currently be awaiting their final results. Those who participated in the PU 1st Admission Test held on June 14, 2026, are also eligible to re-apply, with the university considering the higher of the two scores for admission purposes. The test is structured across seven distinct categories aligned with specific academic disciplines:
PU-E: Pre-Engineering
PU-M: Pre-Medical
PU-AHS: Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences
PU-CSP: ICS with Physics Combination
PU-CSS: ICS with Statistics Combination
PU-GS: General Science
PU-COM: Commerce
The admission test result contributes 25% to the total merit calculation, and it is important to note that results from previous years are not valid for new admissions.
Application Guidelines and Essential Procedures
Candidates must complete their online registration by the final deadline of July 3, 2026, through the official portal. The non-refundable and non-transferable test fee is PKR 2500/-, which must be paid via a generated Fee Challan through HBL, UBL, or 1Bill mobile banking. After payment, applicants must upload proof of payment to the portal to finalize the registration process.
Please be advised that the PU undergraduate 2nd Admission exams 2026 is mandatory for various professional programs, including specific Engineering disciplines, LLB in addition to LAT, the College of Art & Design along with an aptitude test, and the Doctor of Pharmacy Pharm-D program. The tests will be conducted in major cities across Pakistan.
