PMDC to Roll Out Nationwide Digital Training for Inspectors
The Pakistan Medical and Dental Council PMDC has finalized preparations for a nationwide Digital Inspector Training Program aimed at enhancing the supervision and evaluation of medical and dental colleges. Officials believe this initiative will significantly improve inspection quality, transparency, and overall regulatory standards across Pakistan. Preparations and Key Meeting
A crucial meeting took place at PMDC headquarters in Islamabad, where technical arrangements and requirements for the national training, scheduled from December 9 to 11, 2025, were finalized. The session was chaired by the PMDC President and attended by 12 master trainers from various regions. Participants reviewed training modules, digital inspection procedures, equipment usage, training materials, and assessment tools.
Goals of the Training Program
Leadership emphasized that the program aims to prepare inspectors for a fully digital, standardized, and transparent inspection system that aligns with international best practices. The meeting approved documented protocols, an inspector’s guide, a unified digital platform, and standardized reporting procedures to ensure consistency nationwide.
Impact on Quality and Oversight
According to PMDC, the new digital inspection system will reduce human error, strengthen quality assurance, and improve performance evaluations of medical and dental institutions.
