PMDC Revises Admission Schedule for Medical and Dental Programs
Pakistan Medical and Dental Council PM&DC has officially prolonged the deadline for admissions to medical and dental colleges throughout the country for the 2025–26 academic year. This decision provides additional time for students and institutions to complete the admission process in an organized and compliant manner. Deadline Extended for Nationwide Admissions Process
According to an official notification issued on February 19, 2026, the extension was approved during the council’s meeting held on February 10. In this meeting, members thoroughly reviewed the ongoing admission activities and collectively agreed to extend the final date for admissions until March 31, 2026. This revised timeline is applicable to all public and private medical and dental colleges operating under PM&DC regulations across Pakistan.
The council has directed that all admissions must strictly follow the guidelines laid out in the PM&DC Admissions Regulations, 2025. Institutions have also been instructed to comply with any additional decisions or directives issued by the council regarding the admissions framework. This ensures transparency, fairness, and uniformity in the enrollment procedure nationwide.
At the same time, the regulatory body has clearly stated that this extension is final. No further relaxation or extension will be granted beyond March 31, 2026. Colleges and universities have therefore been advised to complete all admission-related formalities within the revised timeframe to avoid any complications.
The official notification has been formally communicated to the vice chancellors of universities responsible for conducting admissions, as well as to the principals and deans of all medical and dental colleges recognized by PM&DC. Relevant departments within the council have also received the directive to ensure smooth implementation of the extended schedule.
This move is expected to facilitate both students and institutions by allowing sufficient time to finalize merit lists, verify documents, and complete other required procedures in accordance with regulatory standards.
