PMDC Medical & Dental Foreign Institutes Admission Policy




The students, who want to get admission in the foreign medical and dental colleges to complete their undergraduate education. Pakistan Medical and Dental Council has announced its policy for grant of admission in the medical and dental institutes for the academic session 2024-25 and the students will have to follow the following important conditions. The students will have to comply with it before getting admission in these institutes.


  • The students, who passed their PSc Pre-Medical with 60% marks, who completed their inter clas
    Students aspiring to pursue undergraduate education in foreign medical and dental colleges must adhere to the new admission policy announced by the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council PMDC for the academic session 2024-25. The students can get the complete updates of Admission Guidelines for Foreign Medical & Dental Institutes by PMDC. The following conditions are crucial for securing admission in these institutes:

    Eligibility Criteria


    • Students who have completed their Pre-Medical PSc with a minimum of 60% marks or those who have achieved a minimum score of 550 in each subject in SAT-II, or 50% in the main subjects Chemistry, Biology, and Physics or Maths in foreign MCAT or UCAT exams, are eligible.

    • Candidates must secure at least 50% marks in MDCAT, with the result valid for three years.


    Verification and Recognition


    • Students must ensure that the foreign institute is listed in the approved institutes provided by PMDC Islamabad.

    • The medical qualification should be from an institute recognized by the regulatory authority of the respective country and accredited by the World Federation for Medical Education WFME or listed in the World Directory of Medical Schools.


    Additional Requirements


    • Before commencing their studies, students must obtain a PMDC student registration certificate.

    • The medical program must include a minimum of 6200 hours of coursework with at least 80% attendance over five years.

    • In countries where the medium of instruction is not English, students must spend at least six months learning the local language before starting their medical education.

    • Students are required to provide details of their residence and contact numbers in the country of study before beginning their education.
    • A multiple entry visa for the duration of the study must be secured before starting the education.
