PMDC MDCAT 2023: Important Dates, Registration & Admission

Pakistan Medical and Dental Council PMDC has released the schedule for the Medical and Dental Colleges Admission Test MDCAT 2023. MDCAT 2023 Online Registration:

The online registration for MDCAT 2023 will begin on July 17, 2023, and the last date to apply is July 31, 2023. Applicants who complete their registration by this date but face delays in bank challan processing can pay the exam fee without any late fee until August 7, 2023. To apply, candidates can visit the official MDCAT registration portal online.

MDCAT 2023 Exam Date:

The MDCAT 2023 exam is scheduled to be held on August 27, 2023. The paper-based exam will take place simultaneously at various centers/venues across the country:

Bolan University of Medical Quetta, Baluchistan

Jinnah Sindh Medical University Sindh

Khyber Medical University Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

University of Health Sciences, Lahore Punjab

AJK SZAMBU

International Venues SZAMBU

Federal and Gilgit SZAMBU

Correction Period for Registration:

In light of the delay in the notification of admitting universities from the Federal Government, candidates will be allowed to make changes to their venue, admitting university, or other details in the registration portal of MDCAT 2023. This option will be available for 48 hours only, from August 6 to August 7, 2023.

MDCAT Registration Fee:

The registration fee for MDCAT 2023 remains unchanged from the previous year at Rs. 6,000/-

Passing Percentage for MDCAT 2023: The approved passing criteria for MDCAT-2023 are as follows:

MBBS: 55%

BDS: 50%

MDCAT Result Validity:

The MDCAT result of one province will be valid for the entire country and remains valid for three years from the date of examination, as per section 17 of the PM&DC Act 2022. Results from MDCAT-2022 are no longer valid for admission in the session 2023.

International Venues:

To accommodate international candidates, MDCAT-2023 will be held in two international countries, namely Dubai United Arab Emirates and Riyadh Saudi Arabia. International aspirants can choose one of these two options based on their convenience of visa and travel.

Registration Fee for International Venues:

The registration fee for international venues is 100 USD Dollar. For late registration, an additional fee of 150 USD Dollar will apply.

Choice of Local Center:

Candidates must select one city/station from the provided list of centers in order of preference for the entry test. It is advisable to choose the nearest city/station to their residence, as the selected city/station cannot be changed once finalized.
