PMC Allows Private Medical Colleges Set Fee Structure
Pakistan Medical Commission has issued orders to permit the private medical and dental colleges in order to adjust the fee structure and it accords increase in fee by 5% per annum. The government has issued the new ‘Pakistan Medical Commission Ordinance’ and it gives powers to the private medical colleges to charge fee according to their choice. Before this, PMDC introduced the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council Ordinance 2019 and it put an end to unlimited increase in fee issues and irregularities of the private medical colleges. The students, who want to get admission in the private medical and dental colleges, they have to submit the security of 200,000 to Pakistan Medical Commission. The admission committee will be added with three members from Pakistan Medical Commission and two members from private medical colleges.
The private medical colleges are directed to deposit their college fee structure by 20 October and PMC will accord the final approval of the fee structure of the private medical colleges.
