PIO Admissions 2025 Ophthalmic Technician Course

The Pakistan Institute of Ophthalmology PIO at Al-Shifa Trust Eye Hospital Rawalpindi is now accepting applications for the session 2025-2027. PIO Admissions Offered Following Courses:

1. Ophthalmic Technician Course

Duration: 2 years

Equivalent Qualification: HSSC Medical Technology

Affiliation: Punjab Medical Faculty

Session: 2025-27

Role of an Ophthalmic Technician:

Ophthalmic Technicians play a critical role alongside ophthalmologists by performing various clinical tasks such as instructing patients on medications and procedures, conducting vision and diagnostic tests, assisting with clinical procedures, scheduling patients, supervising other ophthalmic personnel, and managing office duties.

Eligibility:

Matric with Science subjects Pre-Medical

Minimum 50% marks in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics

Open to both male and female candidates

Maximum age: 25 years

Fee: Rs. 4,300 per month payable monthly

2. Certified Nursing Assistant CNA Training Course

Duration: 2 years

Affiliation: Pakistan Nursing Council

Session: 2025-27

Role of a CNA:

Certified Nursing Assistants provide essential routine care under the supervision of qualified nurses and healthcare professionals. This course offers foundational skills that prepare candidates for a long-term nursing career, focusing on secondary care responsibilities in hospitals and healthcare settings.

Eligibility:

Matric with Science subjects Pre-Medical

Minimum 50% marks in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics

Only female candidates are eligible for this course

Stipend: Rs. 3,000 per month will be paid to trainees
