PECTAA Issues Guidelines for Grade 8 Exam Centers 2026
The Punjab Education, Curriculum, Training and Assessment Authority PECTAA has issued instructions to all District Education Authorities to finalize clusters, examination centers, and school mappings for the Grade 8 examinations 2026. The students can note the latest development regarding PECTAA Issues Guidelines for Grade 8 Exam Centers 2026.
Instructions for School Mapping and Examination Arrangements
According to an official notification released on January 7, 2026, PECTAA directed the chief executive officers of district education authorities to complete the mapping and assignment of schools to their designated examination centers within each district. To streamline this process, PECTAA has introduced an online system, and district officials are required to use the portal to finalize all examination arrangements. Login credentials for the system will be provided to the concerned authorities via email and WhatsApp.
The notification includes detailed guidelines for examination planning. District authorities must:
- Assign separate examination centers for male and female students.
- Ensure the distance between a school and its allocated examination center does not exceed eight kilometers.
- Allocate examination centers that can accommodate at least 60 students and up to 300 students.
- Ensure that students from schools designated as examination centers sit for the exam at a different location.
PECTAA emphasized strict adherence to these guidelines to ensure smooth conduct of the Grade 8 examinations across the province.
