Parents in Punjab to Get Direct Access to Students Results by 2025
Lahore, The Punjab Boards of Intermediate and Secondary Education are preparing to launch a new digital system that will allow parents to directly view their children’s exam results using their own CNIC numbers.
The initiative, scheduled to begin with the 2026 academic session, is designed to promote transparency and parental involvement in students’ academic performance.
Initially, the system will apply to ninth and tenth class results, and later, it will extend to FA FSc Intermediate results across Punjab.
Education officials explained that this new policy aims to ensure that parents remain informed about their children’s progress and performance — a move expected to curb issues where students hide their marks or underperform without accountability.
The Lahore Board, which alone handles over one million matric and intermediate students annually, will serve as one of the first boards to implement the initiative, followed by Faisalabad, Rawalpindi, Multan, and other regions.
The Punjab Education Department stated that the new feature is part of broader digital reforms focused on real-time result access, data transparency, and improved school-parent communication.
Officials also highlighted that the decision came in response to the recently recorded low pass percentages in matric exams across Punjab — an issue that raised concerns about declining academic standards and parental engagement.
Parents will be able to log in through the official board websites or a centralized education portal to access their children’s performance data once the feature is live.
