According to the organizers, the educational exhibitions will continue in several other Bangladeshi cities over the coming days, including Barishal, Rajshahi, Sylhet, Chittagong, and Rangpur. The purpose of these expos is to strengthen educational ties between Pakistan and Bangladesh by encouraging academic exchanges, research cooperation, and institutional partnerships.

The inauguration ceremony in Dhaka was attended by Bangladesh’s Education Minister, Dr. A. N. M. Ehsanul Hoque Milon, along with Pakistan’s High Commissioner to Bangladesh, Imran Haider, Director General Scholarships HEC Aayesha Ikram, and Project Director Jahanzeb Khan. During the event, the speakers highlighted the importance of educational cooperation between the two neighboring countries.

Dr. Ehsanul Hoque Milon praised the efforts of HEC Pakistan and the Pakistan High Commission for actively implementing the Pakistan-Bangladesh Knowledge Corridor. He stated that the initiative is creating valuable opportunities for students, teachers, and universities from both countries to collaborate in academics and research. He also encouraged Bangladeshi students to apply for the fully funded Allama Muhammad Iqbal Scholarships, calling it an excellent opportunity for talented youth seeking quality higher education.

Speaking at the ceremony, Imran Haider emphasized Pakistan’s achievements in higher education and emerging technological fields such as Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, and Aviation Studies. He noted that the educational expos would help both countries develop stronger academic relationships through research partnerships, joint degree programs, student exchanges, and scholarship opportunities.

In her opening remarks, Aayesha Ikram provided detailed information about the Pakistan-Bangladesh Knowledge Corridor project and the scholarship programs available for Bangladeshi students at leading Pakistani universities. She reaffirmed HEC’s commitment to promoting long-term educational cooperation between the two nations through academic collaborations and exchange programs.

The initiative was first introduced in 2025 when HEC organized the first series of educational exhibitions across Bangladesh. Under this program, the Government of Pakistan is offering 500 fully funded Allama Muhammad Iqbal Scholarships to Bangladeshi students for higher studies in Pakistan.

The program also includes professional training opportunities for Bangladeshi civil servants. Meanwhile, the first group of 74 Bangladeshi students has already started studying at different universities across Pakistan. These students are enrolled in various fields such as Engineering, Medical Sciences, Computer Science, Cyber Security, and Biological Sciences, reflecting the growing educational partnership between Pakistan and Bangladesh.
