Pakistan Educational Expo Reaches Rajshahi to Boost Academic Ties
Higher Education Commission HEC of Pakistan successfully organized the Pakistan Higher Education Expo in Rajshahi, Bangladesh. Following prior educational showcases in Dhaka and Barishal, this event marks the latest leg of a broader tour aimed at strengthening institutional partnerships and publicizing advanced learning avenues for Bangladeshi youth under the Pakistan-Bangladesh Knowledge Corridor framework.
Bilateral Knowledge Initiative Highlights Funded Scholarship Schemes for Youth
The educational fair featured delegates from 20 prominent Pakistani universities who interacted with an extensive turnout of local students, families, and community members. Representatives managed interactive informational stalls to guide attendees through available degree streams, campus resources, and enrollment methods. A primary focal point of the event was the promotional spotlight on the HEC Allama Muhammad Iqbal Scholarship program, which provides 500 fully-funded higher education slots for deserving Bangladeshi candidates.
Distinguished academic and diplomatic figures attended the orientation assembly hosted at the University of Rajshahi. The institutions Pro-Vice Chancellor, Professor Mohammad Main Uddin, praised the venture as a constructive mechanism for cross-border research and academic integration, urging young scholars to pursue these fully funded pathways.
Mirroring this sentiment, Pakistan’s Deputy High Commissioner to Bangladesh, Muhammad Wasif, announced the launch of the scholarship schemes second phase, stressing that such educational networks solidify bilateral diplomacy and community bonds. HEC officials added that the program is already yielding concrete success, noting that a pioneering group of 74 Bangladeshi scholars has already integrated into diverse academic faculties across Pakistan.
