Pak School Secures $100,000 Prize at Cope 28 Conference for Water Safety Plan
In a remarkable achievement, a Pakistani school clinched a one hundred thousand dollar prize at the Cope 28 conference held in Dubai for presenting an innovative plan addressing water safety concerns. Media reports confirm that schools from India and Bangladesh in South Asia were also contenders for the Zaid Sustainability Award, where the Pakistani school emerged as the victor, earning the title of the best global school in South Asia. A distinguished jury panel selected eleven winners worldwide across six categories for this prestigious award. The recipients of the award were students Summaiya and Kinza from the Court School and College in Azad Kashmir. The award ceremony took place at Dubai Expo City and was attended by prominent figures, including UAE President Sheikh Muhammad Bin Zayed and various heads of countries. Notably, the caretaker prime minister of Pakistan also graced the event.
During the event, the caretaker chief minister extended his congratulations to the award-winning students, emphasizing that they are a source of pride not only for Pakistan but also for their parents and school. This accomplishment highlights the excellence and innovation fostered within the Pakistani education system.
