As Pakistan marks its 76th Independence Day, the Oxford Pakistan Program OPP is thrilled to introduce the recipients of its graduate scholarships for the upcoming academic year. The OPP is dedicated to empowering outstanding scholars from diverse academic backgrounds, and this years scholarship awardees exemplify the programs commitment to promoting academic excellence and inclusivity. List of Scholarship Recipients:


Jabir Ali:

Hailing from Kundal Khokhran village in southern Jhang, Punjab, Jabir Ali has been awarded the prestigious Oxford Tareen Scholarship for the academic year 2023-24. Emerging from a farming family, Jabir is poised to pursue a doctorate focusing on antimicrobial resistance.


Wajeeha Amir:

Wajeeha Amir, a high-achieving scholar from LUMS with a background in Political Science & Public Policy, has been granted the esteemed Malala Yousafzai Scholarship. She will embark on a journey to attain a Master of Science MSc degree in Evidence-Based Social Intervention and Policy Evaluation.


Amna Baig:

In collaboration with the Blavatnik School of Government at Oxford, OPP has extended two scholarships for the Master of Public Policy program. Among the recipients is Amna Baig, a distinguished law enforcement officer from the Police Service of Pakistan.


Abrahim Shah:

Abrahim Shah, an accomplished civil servant who achieved the third nationwide rank in the competitive civil service exam, will also be pursuing a Master of Public Policy degree.


Sameh Nadeem Hameedi:

Sameh Nadeem Hameedi, a doctoral candidate, will explore the captivating realm of mathematical physics through his study of partial differential equations and stochastic analysis.


Ahmed Salman:

Furthermore, OPP has provided partial awards to several promising scholars, enabling their studies at Oxford. Ahmed Salman, a recipient of a co-supported scholarship with the HEC, is set to delve into doctoral research in cybersecurity.


Rabia Ali Khan:

Rabia Ali Khan, an Associate Director in the Oncology Outcomes Research team at AstraZeneca, is embarking on her doctoral research journey in Clinical Epidemiology and Medical Statistics.


Ahsan Mashhood:

Ahsan Mashhood, who graduated with distinction in Economics from LUMS, will pursue an MSc in Evidence-Based Social Intervention and Policy Evaluation.


Usama Salamat and Ajmal Husein:

The OPP continues to stand by its ongoing scholars, including Usama Salamat MPhil in Development Studies and Ajmal Husein DPhil in Music.
