NUMS Reschedules MDCAT 2025 Exam Date
National University of Medical Sciences NUMS has officially announced a change in the date of the Medical and Dental College Admission Test MDCAT 2025. Originally scheduled for September 14, the exam will now be conducted on September 28, due to the challenges faced by candidates amid ongoing heavy rains and floods. Reason for Postponement
According to an announcement on NUMS’ official website, the decision was made to ensure transparency and provide all applicants with an equal chance to appear in the test. The university expressed solidarity with those affected by the floods, emphasizing its commitment to fairness in the admission process.
Admissions for MBBS & BDS Programs
As the admitting authority, NUMS will conduct the MDCAT for admissions into MBBS and BDS programs for the academic session 2025–26. The test will be held across its constituent, affiliated, and military-administered medical and dental colleges throughout the country.

Colleges Under NUMS
Public sector institutions under NUMS include Army Medical College Rawalpindi and its Dental Section. In the private sector, affiliated colleges include CMH Lahore Medical College and Institute of Dentistry, CMH Multan Institute of Medical Sciences, CMH Institute of Medical Sciences Bahawalpur, CMH Kharian Medical College, HITEC Institute of Medical Sciences Taxila, Karachi Institute of Medical Sciences, Quetta Institute of Medical Sciences, Wah Medical College, CIMS Dental College Multan, HITEC Dental College Taxila, and Quetta College of Dentistry.
Mandatory Requirement for Admissions
The MDCAT is a compulsory test for students aspiring to secure admission in medical and dental programs under NUMS across Pakistan. Successful candidates will be considered for seats in both public and private institutions affiliated with the university.
