New Matric and Inter Grading System

Karachi, A new 10-Point Grading System is being introduced by changing the grading system at the matric and inter levels across the country, under which the passing marks will be increased from 33 percent to 40 percent, while the failure i.e. F grade is being abolished and U grade is being introduced. Similarly, A plus plus 96 to 100, A plus 91 to 95 and 86 to 90 are being made A grade by closing the gap between A one grade 100 to 80 percent. The approval of this ten-system grading system will be given in the meeting of heads of all educational boards across the country IBCC which will be held today Thursday, November 24 in Lahore. Chairman HEC Dr. Mukhtar has also been specially invited to attend the meeting. In the session, 81 to 85 percent marks will be graded B plus and 76 to 81 marks will be graded B. Similarly, students of Matriculation and Inter will also be considered to give University-style Grading Point Average GPA instead of marks. It will also be approved in the meeting that matric and inter exams will be held in April and May and the results will be released by August.
