New Directives for 2026 Practical Board Exams

New Directives for 2026 Practical Board Exams

Chairperson of the Chief Ministers Task Force on Exam Reforms has issued a formal notification dated May 12, 2026, addressed to all Exams Controllers across Punjab’s educational boards. This circular mandates the immediate adoption of stringent protocols to ensure the Secondary School Certificate Punjab Boards SSC Part-II practical exams 2026 are conducted with total transparency and merit. These rules are designed to eliminate cheating and the use of unfair means during lab assessments, ensuring that every student is evaluated solely on their individual effort and understanding.

Key Requirements for Practical Notebooks and Assessments

To maintain high standards, practical examiners have been instructed to follow these specific guidelines during the ongoing Punjab Boards HSSC practical exams 2026 cycle:

Authentication of Work: Examiners must confirm that the practical notebook or lab journal presented was written entirely by the student.

Handwriting Verification: To prevent forgery, the examiner is required to personally compare the students live handwriting during the exam with the writing found in the submitted notebook.

Prohibition of Ready-made Material: Notebooks that appear to be commercially purchased, pre-solved by a third party, or prepared by anyone other than the student will be rejected immediately.

Notebook Disposal: Once a notebook is verified and graded, the examiner must mark it through tearing or canceling pages to ensure the work cannot be recycled or reused by other students in future sessions.

Accountability: Any official found negligent in enforcing these rules will face serious disciplinary action.

Furthermore, these strict regulations are not limited to the SSC exams; they will also be fully implemented during the upcoming Higher Secondary School Certificate HSSC Part-II annual Exams for 2026.
