New Admission Policy: No Form-B Required for Islamabad Schools

New Admission Policy: No Form-B Required for Islamabad Schools

Government schools in Islamabad have abolished the Form-B requirement for admissions, a significant step to aid undocumented children from disadvantaged communities. This policy change is expected to boost enrollment rates, which have been hampered by this documentation requirement that particularly impacts vulnerable children. The students and their parents will get the fresh information of New Admission Policy: No Form-B Required for Islamabad Schools.

Addressing Enrollment Barriers

Despite numerous government efforts, including free meals and textbooks, approximately 26 million children in Pakistan remain out of school. The removal of the Form-B prerequisite, announced by Education Secretary Mohyuddin Wani, is aimed at ensuring that all children in Islamabad, regardless of their documentation status, can now enroll in government schools.

Creating an Inclusive Environment

Wani highlighted that the Form-B requirement had unintentionally limited educational access for many underprivileged and undocumented children. By eliminating this barrier, the government aims to foster a more inclusive educational environment, ensuring equal access to education for all children in the capital.

Expanding School Capacity

To address the issue of overcrowded classrooms, the Ministry of Education will introduce evening shifts in 51 schools across Islamabad starting next academic session. This initiative aims to manage the increased enrollment effectively, as some primary classes currently accommodate over 50 students, with numbers nearing 100 in some cases.

Enhancing Educational Opportunities

These measures reflect the governments commitment to improving educational opportunities and managing the rising number of enrollments. By removing documentation barriers and expanding school capacity, the government seeks to create a more equitable and efficient educational system in Islamabad.
