NCOC Suggests Winter Vacation from Nov to Jan in Schools

Islamabad, National Command & Control Center suggested that the government should announce the winter vacations in the educational institutes all over the country from November to January. The inter Provincial educational ministers conference is conducted and during this conference, the matter of closing of the schools, colleges and universities was discussed but this conference opposed the suggestion to close the educational institutes at once. NCOC and other relevant officials gave briefing to the meeting regarding the current situation of the corona cases and the matter of the increasing number of COVID-19 situation and winter vacation in the educational institutes soon and for longer period was discussed in the meeting. When the suggestion of the longer winter vacation was discussed in the meeting from November to January, it was said that the corona cases have been enhanced in the educational institutes to the dangerous extent. However, the provincial education ministers opposed to close the schools and colleges and now this meeting will be held during next week and the situation will be analyzed once again.

Federal Education Minister said that the lives of the children and teachers are dear to him and the suggestion and advice of inter provincial education ministers will be submitted in NCC and the final decision will be made on 23 November. It is expected that the meeting of National Coordination Committee will be expected today evening and Prime Minister Imran Khan will chair the meeting, in which winter vacation in the educational institutes will be decided.
