Ensuring Fairness in Examination Practices

The committee underscored public dissatisfaction with the MDCAT examination and emphasized conducting the December 30 test fairly to alleviate student grievances. Another pressing issue discussed was the examination fees, which remain unresolved, with the Islamabad High Court IHC yet to decide whether students or the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council PM&DC should bear the cost.

Equitable Distribution of Seats and Merit-Based Opportunities

Committee members recommended providing sufficient preparation time for intermediate students and scheduling MDCAT immediately after the announcement of their results. They also addressed the limited allocation of seats for students with ICT domicile, calling for the Punjab government to ensure fair seat distribution. Furthermore, the committee stressed granting examination opportunities solely on merit and competency, promoting equal chances for students regardless of regional affiliations.
