Most Universities Agree To Give Online Education
After the COVID-19 pandemic, the need of online education increased and due to expand of technology it is also going to be a trend to learn online, In the wake of online learning, it is assumed that the mostly universities wants to shift the education to online education system.
Recently Higher Education Commission HEC, Islamabad held a meeting National Assembly’s Standing Committee on Education and revealed the statistics of the universities that favored online education. According to HEC officials at the beginning of the Corona virus pandemic, there were only 23 online courses. Now 113,614 out of 118,331 courses can now be taught completely online.
The chairman of the Committee MNA Mian Najeeb-ud-Din Awaisi appreciated the HEC,s efforts to implement the recommendations of the committee. On the other side Federal Directorate of Education (FDE) and the Private Educational Institutions Regulatory Authority (PEIRA) also lauded the role of HEC to continue the education process during the COVID-19 outbreak.
