 The Mines Labour Welfare Commissionerate Punjab  under the Mines & Minerals Department, invites scholarship applications for the academic session 2025-26. The scholarships are intended for the children of mine workers across Punjab and are offered under the following categories, conditions, and stipend rates:

 Eligibility Criteria
Parent must be a registered mine worker under the Industrial & Commercial Employment Ordinance 1968, and:
Must be registered with EOBI.
Must have at least 3 years of service. 1 year is acceptable for deceased or disabled workers under certain categories.
Non-EOBI workers must submit a verified affidavit from a Notary Public and Assistant Mines Labour Welfare Commissioner, along with:
Verification from the employer and labor uni on CBA President/General Secretary.
Valid medical card issued by the Mines Labour Welfare Office not older than 1 year.
NADRA-issued worker’s smart card, proof of employment, and other identity documents are required.
Students enrolled in Workers Welfare Board schools or already receiving a scholarship from them are not eligible.
Students below Class 1 e.g., Prep and Nursery are not eligible.

 Required Documents
Duly completed application form with verified student details and academic records.
Employment certificate of the parent from the mining company.
Previous year’s verified result card for categories 4–7.
Copy of Schedule A issued by the mining firm, verified by Inspector of Mines.
For deceased workers, attach compensation proof or court certificate.
For disabled workers, attach a certified medical disability report minimum 50% and compensation documents.
Hostel residents must attach a letter from hostel superintendent or warden on official letterhead.
Students studying in government universities on open merit Medical/Engineering can apply under Category 7.
All documents must be verified by the mine’s leaseholder or authorized manager.
Retired workers or widows receiving EOBI pension are also eligible but must provide pension verification.

Important Notes
Incomplete forms or missing documents will lead to rejection.
Multiple applications for the same session will be rejected.
Final decision lies with the Commissioner’s office.
Scholarships for higher education will be disbursed via bank transfer.
Applicants from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa already receiving scholarships are not eligible.

 Deadline for Application Submission
All completed applications must be submitted by: 16 November 2025
Late submissions will not be entertained.
