MEXT Japanese Govt Scholarship for Pak Teachers Training Program
Japanese Government extends a scholarship opportunity to Pakistani educators interested in delving into school education research. The MEXT Teacher Training Scholarship caters to both Government and Private Primary and Secondary School Teachers, offering an 18-month training program with certificates awarded upon successful completion. Administered by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science, and Technology MEXT, Government of Japan, the scholarship aims to enhance teaching capabilities. Eligibility Criteria:
Pakistani teachers from all regions are eligible to apply, provided they possess a minimum of 5 years of teaching experience in Government or Private schools. Applicants must have graduated from universities or teacher training schools and worked in primary/secondary educational institutions or teacher training schools. The age limit is set at 35 years, with candidates required to be born on or after April 2, 1988. A Bachelors degree from a university or teacher training institute, along with specific qualifications, is mandatory. In-service university faculty members are not eligible for this scholarship.
Individual Criteria:
Applicants must exhibit intellectual and psychological readiness to spend eighteen months in an international setting with a culture distinct from Pakistan. Proficiency in the Japanese language is essential, as many universities conduct courses solely in Japanese. The University in Japan provides Japanese language training in advance, with courses typically commencing in October.
Application Process:
To apply for the MEXT Teacher Training Scholarship, interested individuals should fill out the application form available on the Embassy of Japan website. A crucial component of the application is a letter of recommendation from the school principal. The prescribed application form, along with the recommendation letter and a brief statement of purpose for applying to the scholarship, should be submitted. Medical forms and additional documents specified in the guidelines are not required at this initial stage. The application envelope must be labeled as "MEXT Teachers Training Scholarship" and sent to the Public Affairs Section at the Embassy of Japan in Islamabad.
