UHS Confirms MDCAT 2025 Date, Exam Arrangements Across 12 Cities of Punjab

The announcement has brought clarity and relief to thousands of aspiring medical students who had been awaiting the confirmation of the schedule. MDCAT is a crucial milestone for those aiming to pursue MBBS and BDS programs in both public and private medical institutions across the province.

Examination Centers Across Punjab

The MDCAT 2025 will be organized in 12 cities, including Lahore, Faisalabad, Multan, Rawalpindi, Bahawalpur, Sargodha, D.G. Khan, Gujranwala, Gujrat, Rahim Yar Khan, and Sheikhupura, with 26 examination centers established to accommodate the large number of applicants.

The Specialized Healthcare and Medical Education Department SHC&ME has instructed the Deputy Commissioners of all participating districts to ensure comprehensive arrangements for exam day. Facilities such as first aid units, medical assistance, and emergency response teams will be deployed, while Rescue 1122, health departments, traffic police, and NADRA officials will assist in maintaining order and smooth operations.

Tight Security and Section 144 Implementation

To uphold the exam’s integrity, the Punjab Home Department will enforce Section 144 around all examination venues. This step aims to restrict unauthorized gatherings, mobile phone usage, and unregulated movement near test centers.

The Inspector General of Punjab Police has been directed to ensure strict security protocols. Police and security personnel will be stationed at all centers, and the use of mobile phones, Bluetooth devices, and smartwatches inside the halls will be strictly prohibited. These measures demonstrate the government and UHS’s determination to prevent any malpractice or paper leaks.

Interdepartmental Coordination for Smooth Operations

The SHC&ME Department has also collaborated with the Higher Education Department HED and School Education Department SED to appoint trained invigilators and supervisory staff for the test. District administrations have been instructed to ensure backup arrangements for electricity, seating, and medical support, while Rescue 1122 and health officials remain on standby.

Additionally, traffic management plans will be implemented around examination centers, especially in Lahore and Multan, where the candidate turnout is expected to be significantly higher.

UHS Strengthens Final Preparations

Under the leadership of Professor Ahsan Waheed Rathore, UHS has intensified its final arrangements to ensure a transparent and secure examination process. The university has finalized the printing, packaging, and transport of question papers, along with security clearance for all involved personnel.

Professor Rathore is personally overseeing the coordination among health, education, and law enforcement departments. Senior faculty members have been assigned supervisory and monitoring duties, while a central control room will remain operational throughout the exam day to handle any emergencies or communication issues.

Ensuring Fairness and Transparency

Transparency remains the foremost priority for UHS and the Punjab government. All procedures — from paper setting to result compilation — will follow strict confidentiality and data encryption standards. Unauthorized access to exam material is completely prohibited.

Candidates are required to bring their CNIC or B-form, admit card, and essential stationery items only, and must arrive at their centers well before the reporting time to avoid delays due to security checks.

The MDCAT 2025 results are expected to be announced within a few weeks of the examination, after which the admission process for MBBS and BDS programs in Punjab’s medical and dental colleges will officially commence.
