Matric Exams 2024 Altered in KP Due to Ramadan
In a significant development, the annual examinations for 10th and 9th classes in 2024 have been delayed by one month in the province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa KP due to the observance of Ramadan. The matriculation exams in Peshawar and all other boards across KP will now commence on April 18, a month later than the initially scheduled date of March 14. Chairmans Decision: Responding to Student and Parent Requests for Ramadan Sanctity
The Chairman of the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Peshawar announced the delay, citing the insistence of students and parents, and to uphold the sanctity of the month of Ramadan. The decision to shift the exam schedule was collectively made during a meeting involving the chairmen of all boards in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Contrast in the West: Punjab Boards Maintain Original Matric Exam Schedule
While the boards in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa opt for a delayed schedule, the boards in Punjab have finalized their matric exam schedule. According to the tentative date sheet approved by the Punjab boards committee of chairmen, 10th class exams are set to commence from March 01, and 9th class exams will begin from March 19. The Punjab boards have chosen to adhere to the original timeline, providing a contrast to the adjusted schedule in KP.
