Launch of Tech Programs in Public Schools
Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat has announced the introduction of middle-tech, matric-tech, and inter-tech programs in 300 public schools throughout the province. This initiative by the Punjab Government marks a significant step towards diversifying educational opportunities for students. Government Review Meeting on Tech Education
Chaired by Provincial Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat, a review meeting was held to discuss the implementation of Middle-Tech, Matric-Tech, and Inter-Tech programs. During the meeting, consultations and proposals for initiating these technology-oriented courses were discussed. The education minister directed officials to establish a committee to finalize the course details.
Bridging Traditional Education and Practical Skills
The newly designed courses aim to bridge the gap between traditional education and the practical skills required in the professional world. Minister Hayat emphasized that the matriculation and inter-tech programs are being introduced for the first time in Pakistans history. The committee will assess the facilities and requirements of tech labs to ensure the programs success.
Market-Oriented Technical Courses
The minister highlighted that the technical courses will be tailored to meet current market trends. At least two tech education centers will be established in every tehsil, and separate tech courses will be introduced specifically for girls, ensuring inclusive education for all students.
