KPK Minister Favor in Reopening Schools from 11 January

The Education Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, suggested that the schools, colleges and universities should be reopened from 11 January 2021. The above mentioned education minister suggested for the reopening of the educational institutes and he said that he will be tabled in Inter Provincial Education Minister Conference, which will be managed on 04-01-2021 and he will favor this suggestion of reopening of the educational institutes. The Education Minister of Punjab said that the provincial government is against the closing of the educational institutes and it is most suitable option for closing of the schools and colleges under the prevailing situation of COVID-19. It is considered that if the current coronavirus situation is not ameliorated in the country, then the option of extension of closing of the educational institutes will be chosen.

Sindh Education Minister said that chances of reopening of the educational institutes in Sindh during the month of January are less because of the outbreak of COVID-19. IPEMC considered the suggestions of NCOC during last month and announced to close the educational institute from 23 November to 10 January 2021 as the coronavirus situation was not improved in the country.
