KPESE Admissions 2026 Grade 7th
The Elementary and Secondary Education Department, Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, invites applications from talented male and female students of government schools for admission to prestigious Centers of Excellence CoEs across the province.
This opportunity is available for students belonging to both Settled Districts and Newly Merged Districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Eligible applicants include students currently studying from Grade 1 to Grade 6 in government schools or those who have passed Grade 6. Students from community schools who have passed Grade 6 after completing Grade 5 are also eligible, subject to verification by the Elementary & Secondary Education Foundation.
Educational Support
Students selected under this program will be admitted to Grade 7, and all educational expenses up to Grade 12 will be borne by the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Selection Procedure
Admission will be granted through a written entry test conducted by ETEA at the following centers:
Peshawar
Swat
Abbottabad
Kohat
Bannu
Dera Ismail Khan
Test Details:
Duration: 1.5 hours
Syllabus: Grade 6 KP Textbook Board
Subjects:
English
Mathematics
General Science
Urdu
Islamiyat
Ethics for minority candidates
Eligibility Criteria
Age limit: 11 to 13 years no relaxation allowed
Date of Birth: Candidates born before 31 March 2013 or after 31 March 2015 are not eligible
Minimum 50% marks in ETEA test
For girls, the qualifying marks may be reduced to 40% if seats remain vacant
Continuous education in a government school from Grade 1 to Grade 6 must be verified by the Head Teacher
Candidates already studying in private schools, cadet colleges, governor model schools, or availing any other scholarship/endowment are not eligible
Seat Allocation Policy
Total seats: 500
Seats will initially be allocated district-wise based on population
If vacant seats remain 25% or more, redistribution will be done district-wise and then on:
Gender-wise open merit
Overall open merit gender-neutral
Hostel & Accommodation
Boarding facilities are available in selected institutions e.g., Fazal-e-Haq College, Mardan; Peshawar Public School; Gomal College DI Khan
Candidates must clearly mention whether they require hostel accommodation or will arrange self-residence

Test fee: PKR 600 non-refundable
Important Instructions
Mobile phones are strictly prohibited at examination centers
NADRA biometric verification is mandatory
False information or fake documents will lead to disqualification and legal action
In case of equal marks, older candidate will be given preference
Each candidate may appear in the test only twice on the same date of birth
