KP Replaces Matric Exam Staff with Graduates 2026
In a landmark move to reform the examination system, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa KP government has decided to replace 50% of its traditional invigilation staff with fresh graduates. This initiative by the Elementary and Secondary Education Department aims to minimize the disruption of regular classes in government schools.
Modernizing the Invigilation Process
Traditionally, school teachers were pulled from their classrooms to perform duties during the matric exams. By inducting unemployed graduates, the KP government ensures that academic activities for other students continue uninterrupted while providing a transparent environment for candidates.
Selection and Training Highlights
The Peshawar Board and other regional boards have implemented a rigorous selection process to ensure the integrity of the examination centers.
- Online Recruitment: Over 6,200 candidates applied through a specialized digital portal.
- Merit-Based Selection: 1,250 graduates were chosen via a transparent computerized draw.
- Remuneration: Selected staff will receive Rs. 1,500 per paper, totaling approximately Rs. 30,000 for the full exam cycle.
- Strict Oversight: All new invigilators must provide character certificates and attend mandatory training workshops.
