The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa KP government has approved the introduction of Artificial Intelligence AI education across all public schools, a landmark decision aimed at transforming the province’s education system. This initiative marks a major step toward modernizing classrooms and preparing students for a technology-driven future. Provincial Government Takes a Major Step Toward Digital Learning

The approval was granted during a high-level meeting of the Elementary and Secondary Education Department, chaired by Chief Minister Muhammad Sohail Afridi. The new policy reflects the government’s vision to equip students with essential digital and technological skills needed to thrive in the 21st century.

AI Course to Be Introduced from Grade 6 Onward

As part of this innovative plan, the National Artificial Intelligence Course will be implemented in all government schools starting from Grade 6. The Education Department has been directed to ensure the availability of qualified teachers, modern learning tools, and proper infrastructure to effectively launch and sustain the program.

Officials emphasized that integrating AI into the school curriculum will prepare students for an increasingly digital world, where skills in coding, data analysis, and innovation are becoming critical for success in future professions.

During the meeting, Chief Minister Sohail Afridi highlighted that AI education will empower the youth to compete on a global scale and meet the growing demands of emerging industries. He described the decision as a revolutionary step toward creating a forward-looking education system focused on creativity, problem-solving, and advanced learning.
