KP Govt Makes Registration Mandatory for Private Schools
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa KP Education Department has announced that all private schools in the province must register with the Private Schools Regulatory Authority PSRA. Unregistered schools will be prohibited from enrolling students for board examinations and may face closure if they continue operating without registration. Unregistered Private Schools Face Closure and Exam Ban
The notification, sent to the chairpersons of all educational boards, emphasized that registration under the KP Private Schools Regulatory Authority Act is compulsory. Currently, 11,887 private schools in the province are officially registered.
Officials stated that unregistered schools create challenges in maintaining accurate student records. Under the Act, no private school is allowed to open or function without completing the registration process, ensuring proper oversight and regulation of educational institutions across KP.
