KIU Complete Fee Structure 2025 for All BS Programs Released

Karakoram International University KIU, Gilgit-Baltistan, has officially announced the KIU Fee Structure 2025 for all undergraduate programs under its various faculties. The revised fee schedule applies to the Fall 2025 and Spring 2026 semesters, covering a wide range of disciplines including Social Sciences, Life Sciences, Arts, Humanities, and Engineering. The university administration confirmed that the update aims to maintain affordability while ensuring the continued enhancement of educational facilities and academic quality.

Fee Structure for the Faculty of Social Sciences

Under the Faculty of Social Sciences, programs such as BS Development Studies, Economics, Political Science, International Relations, Peace & Conflict Studies, Sociology, and Media & Communication Studies will have a total admission-time fee of Rs. 8,500, while the semester tuition fee is set at Rs. 31,750. Including additional charges such as the library and exam fee Rs. 2,420 each, the total semester fee for most programs amounts to Rs. 45,090. Specialized programs like BS Tourism & Hospitality Management and BBA have slightly higher total costs, reaching Rs. 48,370 and Rs. 47,530, respectively.

Faculty of Arts and Humanities: Focus on Education and Literature

For students enrolling under the Faculty of Arts and Humanities, the KIU Fee Structure 2025 outlines tuition fees ranging from Rs. 37,850 to Rs. 42,690 per semester, depending on the program. Courses such as B.Ed 1.5 Years, 2 Years, and 4 Years, BS English Linguistics & Literature, and BS Early Childhood Education follow a consistent pattern, with a total payable fee at admission time around Rs. 51,190.

Life Sciences and Natural Sciences Programs Announced

Students applying to the Faculty of Life Sciences — including programs such as BS Zoology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Environmental Sciences, and Agriculture & Food Sciences — will pay an admission-time fee of Rs. 8,500, with semester fees averaging Rs. 46,340 and an overall total fee of Rs. 54,840. Similarly, the Faculty of Natural Sciences offers degrees like BS Computer Science, Data Science, Software Engineering, and Artificial Intelligence, each with a semester fee of Rs. 48,800 and an overall total around Rs. 57,300.

Engineering and Technology Fee Details

For students pursuing degrees in BS Civil Engineering or Engineering Technology, the KIU Fee Structure for Academic Semesters Fall 2025 & Spring 2026 indicates that these are among the university’s higher-cost programs. BS Civil Engineering students will pay approximately Rs. 66,980 per semester, with a total admission-time payment of Rs. 75,480, while Electrical and Mining Engineering Technology programs total around Rs. 69,270.

KIU Gilgit officials emphasized that despite inflation and rising operational costs, the KIU Fee Structure 2025 has been designed to remain accessible for students from Gilgit-Baltistan and other regions of Pakistan.
