Karachi University Admissions Open Merit Policy

University of Karachi has made the announcement of the open merit policy for grant of admissions to the students in the next academic session. The university has managed their admission tests for the bachelors and master degree programs and huge number of students appears in the admission test. When the students appeared in the admission test and their result is announced and about 75% students failed entry tests because the University changed the admission criteria for grant of admissions to the students. The university declared that no entry test will be managed and the interested candidates can get admission in the departments of Mass Communication, Criminology, Commerce and Pak Studies. Karachi University changed passing marks for admission test of different departments to 25 from 50 and there are many other departments including Education, Applied Chemistry, Applied Physics, Petroleum Technology, Chemical Technology, Environmental Studies and Special Education and the passing marks will be reduced to 40-45 from 50.
