Karachi Shipyard & Engineering MS in Naval Architecture Scholarships

Karachi Shipyard & Engineering Works Limited is pleased to offer comprehensive scholarships for the Masters program in Naval Architecture at NUST Karachi. The scholarship covers tuition fees, admission expenses, security deposit, and hostel fees. Moreover, selected candidates will receive a generous monthly stipend of PKR 25,000. Post-Degree Service Commitment

Recipients of the scholarship are required to commit to serving at Karachi Shipyard & Engineering Works for a period of 8 years after the completion of their degree. This commitment aims to enhance the industrys talent pool and provide valuable practical experience to the graduates.

Application Process and Eligibility

Prospective candidates should meet the following eligibility criteria:

• Maximum age of 26 years

• A bachelors degree in fields such as Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering from a recognized HEC university.

• A minimum of 60% marks in the previous degree

• 16 years of education or 4 years of relevant education after HSSC/A-level

Valid GAT General conducted by NTS or HAT conducted by HEC, with a cumulative test score of at least 50, held between May 2022 and June 2023. Alternatively, candidates can submit a GRE General score with the following minimum scores in each section:

• Quantitative: 151/170

• Verbal: 146/170

• Analytical Writing: 3.5/6.0

Terms and Conditions

Selected candidates will receive a scholarship covering tuition, admission processing, security deposit, and hostel fees, along with a monthly stipend of Rs 25,000. Its important to note that all other expenses will be the responsibility of the individual.

Upon completing the MS program, scholarship recipients will be required to serve at Karachi Shipyard & Engineering Works Ltd for a minimum of 8 years. In case a recipients performance during the program is deemed unsatisfactory, the scholarship will be revoked, and the individual will need to reimburse the incurred expenses not exceeding Rs. 3.0 Million.
