Board of Secondary Education Karachi BSEK has released an important press notice regarding the extension of the submission deadline for SSC Part-II Class 10 annual examination forms for 2026. This update is highly relevant for a large number of regular and private candidates preparing to appear in the upcoming matriculation examinations under the Karachi Board. Updated Form Submission Dates and Late Fee Details 
According to the revised decision approved by BSEK Chairman Ghulam Hussain Soho, the board has introduced a new timeline along with a step-by-step late fee structure. Students are advised to carefully note the following dates to avoid additional charges: 
  • Without any late fee: Forms can be submitted up to February 13, 2026. This is the final date for submission without a fine. 
  • With late fee: Candidates who miss the above date can still submit forms by paying late fees as per the following schedule: 
  • Rs. 500 from February 16 to February 20, 2026 
  • Rs. 800 from February 23 to February 27, 2026 
  • Rs. 1,200 from March 2 to March 5, 2026 
  • Rs. 1,500 from March 6 to March 11, 2026 
  • Rs. 1,800 from March 12 to March 17, 2026 
  • Rs. 2,500 after the completion of all mentioned dates 
Board officials have clearly stated that no further extensions will be allowed beyond this schedule. 
 
Eligible Candidates for Form Submission 
This announcement applies to several categories of students, including those who appeared in SSC Part-I Class 9 1st Annual Examination 2025 in both Science and General Groups, whether regular or private. It also includes candidates who failed in previous years, students applying for special chance exams, grade improvement, additional subjects, and those migrating from other boards. 
 
Online Submission Requirement for Regular Students 
BSEK has made it mandatory for all regular Class 10 Science and General Group students to submit their examination forms through the online system only. Students must visit the official portal at portal.bsek.edu.pk, generate their fee voucher online, and deposit the examination fee in cash at any designated branch of the National Bank of Pakistan. The list of approved branches is available on the board’s website. 
 
Instructions for Students Who Changed Institutions 
Students who have shifted to a different school for Class 10 are required to obtain prior approval from the board. They must submit an application along with a copy of the paid fee voucher to the relevant board section. Only after receiving approval can they submit their examination form online through their current school. 
 
Fee Relaxation for Government School Candidates 
As per the Sindh Government’s policy, all regular students enrolled in government schools in Science and General Groups are exempt from paying the examination fee. However, these students are still required to complete and submit their examination forms online through the official portal. 
 
Procedure for Private and Other Category Candidates 
Private candidates, students appearing under special chance, improvement of marks, additional papers, fourteen papers category, and candidates from other boards must follow an offline process. Their examination forms will be available at designated booths of National Bank of Pakistan, Askari Commercial Bank, and United Bank Limited located at the Board Office. After completing the forms, candidates must submit them at the same booths following verification by the concerned board section. 
 
Guidelines for Heads of Institutions 
The Karachi Board has directed the principals and heads of all affiliated schools to ensure that the examination forms of their students are submitted collectively in a single batch to facilitate smooth processing.

This official notification, issued on January 30, 2026 under reference number BSE/1st A.E./X/EF/2026, has been circulated through newspapers, television channels, and relevant departments to ensure wide awareness. Students, parents, and school administrations are strongly encouraged to strictly follow the announced deadlines. Although late submissions are allowed with fines, completing the process before February 13, 2026 is the best way to avoid extra charges and inconvenience.
