Japan Offers MEXT Teachers Training Scholarship 2026 for Pakistani Educators
The Government of Japan has announced the MEXT Teachers Training Scholarship 2026 for Pakistani teachers interested in professional training and research in school education. Under this scholarship, selected participants will join a non-degree teachers’ training and research program at a Japanese university and receive a certificate upon completion. The program is strictly for professional development and does not lead to bachelor’s, master’s, or doctoral degrees. Apply Now for Non-Degree Teacher Training and Research in Japan
Offered by Japan’s Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology MEXT, the program typically begins in October. Selected candidates will receive Japanese language training prior to the academic and research activities, as much of the instruction and guidance is conducted in Japanese.
Eligibility requirements include:
- Birth on or after April 2, 199
- A university degree or teacher-training qualification
- At least five years of teaching experience at primary, secondary, or teacher training institutions by October 1, 2026
- University faculty members are not eligible to apply
- Ability to adapt to a foreign cultural environment for approximately 18 months
- Willingness to learn the Japanese language
