IHC Stops PMDC to Issue Final Merit List
Islamabad High Court has stopped the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council PMDC to issue the final merit list of the candidates, who are going to get admission in the MBBC and BDS classes in the attached medical and dental colleges and universities. PMDC has already received the application forms from the students, who secured highest marks in their inter class pre-Medical group for grant of admission in the MBBS and BDS classes. PMDC managed the MDCAT test of the eligible candidates to determine their eligibility and preparation of the final merit list to grant admission to the qualified students.
PMDC MDCAT Test Wrong Questions
The students claimed that there were about 30 questions out of total 200 questions, were wrong or out of course and most of the students could not attempt these questions and they secured less marks in the MCQs test. The students filed a case in Islamabad High Court against the test conducted by PMDC. The IHC has issued the stay order against the issue of the merit list and the court has summoned other stakeholders on 28 October 2024 by issuing the notices.
IHC Issues Stay Orders
The students claimed in the applications filed in the court stating that 30 out of 200 questions in the MCQ test were wrong. The court has stopped the medical colleges to grant admission in the medical colleges. IHC has adjourned the hearing on this case till 28-10-2024.
