Hungary Offers Scholarships to Young Christians 2023

The government of Hungary has announced the scholarships programs under their project of ‘Scholarship for Christians Young People SCYP’. Hungary started this program in 2017 and it has awarded the scholarships to the young people of Christianity so that they can pursue their higher education in Hungarian universities. The students can avail these scholarships at the bachelor, master, one-tier master and PhD programs. Hungary government offered the scholarships for 2022/23 for the young Christian students of Lebanon, Iraq, Israel, Palestine, Pakistan, Syria, Kenya, Ethiopia, Armenia and Nigeria. The process of the application for award of scholarship is started during November each year and the applicants prepare the documents and get the recommendation letter and they submit their application forms by the deadline of 31 January 2023. The shortlisted candidates are announced in March and they are also informed accordingly and their applications are forwarded to the host universities in April and they make the final selection, which is done by end of May. The arrival of the students is started from 01 September to join the relevant university in Hungary.

The candidates can get the detailed information by visiting the official website of the relevant department, which is Hungary Helps and the candidates submit the application forms online. The scholarship will cover the free tuition, monthly stipend at bachelor or master and one-tier master at HUF 166,600 EUR 450 for 12 months a year till the completion of the study.  For the doctoral degree program, the students will be awarded with the stipend of HUF 140,000 EUR 380 for first phase of education for 4 semesters and HUF 180,000 EUR 490 for second phase 4 semester for 12 months of a year till the completion of the study.
