Holiday in Public and Private Schools in Karachi Today
Karachi Commissioner Syed Hassan Naqvi has announced the closure of all educational institutions in the city due to the ongoing adverse weather conditions. This decision has been made to safeguard the well-being of students, teachers, and staff members across the city.
As stated in the official notification, all public and private schools in Karachi will be closed on Friday, 30th August. This directive follows the recent empowerment granted to civil authorities by the Sindh Education Department, allowing them to announce school closures in response to unfavourable weather conditions. The measure underscores the importance of ensuring the safety of everyone involved in the educational sector.
Earlier, similar precautionary actions were taken in the districts of Tando Allahyar, Matiari, and Hyderabad, where schools were closed on Thursday, 29th August, due to the same weather concerns. These closures reflect a broader strategy to protect students and staff across Sindh from potential hazards posed by the current weather.
Parents and students are urged to remain vigilant and stay informed through official channels as the weather situation is being closely monitored. The Commissioner of Karachi emphasized the need for residents to prioritize their safety, avoid unnecessary travel, and follow any additional instructions from local authorities.
