HEC Releases Law Admission Test Schedule for 2026
The Higher Education Commission HEC of Pakistan has officially announced the comprehensive schedule for the Law Admission Test 2026. This mandatory assessment is a prerequisite for any student seeking entry into the five-year undergraduate LLB degree program at public and private sector universities. According to the newly released HEC test calendar, the commission will conduct multiple cycles throughout the year to accommodate different batches of intermediate students.
Upcoming LAT Registration and Exam Timeline
For those targeting the mid-year academic intake, the third LAT cycle of 2026 is the most critical window.
- Announcement Date: Sunday, May 10, 2026.
- Registration Deadline: Monday, May 25, 2026.
- Test Date: Sunday, June 21, 2026.
- Result Declaration: Monday, August 3, 2026.
Year-End Testing Opportunities
Candidates who miss the summer window can still participate in the fourth or fifth cycles. The fourth test is slated for September 6, 2026, with registration closing on August 10. The final assessment of the year will take place on November 15, 2026. This frequency ensures that students awaiting their HSSC results or those looking for Spring 2027 admissions have ample opportunity to secure a valid score.
Mandatory Documents for Exam Day
To maintain a high standard of merit based conduct, the HEC requires all applicants to bring their original CNIC or B-form to the test center. Digital copies or photocopies will not be accepted. Additionally, the roll number slips will be issued digitally through the ETC portal approximately one week before each exam, and candidates must bring a printed copy to gain entry.
