HEC Opens USAT Registrations 2023 Complete Guide

Higher Education Commission HEC has officially unveiled the registration schedule for the Undergraduate Studies Admission Test, known as USAT 2023. Aspiring candidates have until October 17, 2023, to complete their applications. The eagerly awaited HEC USAT is tentatively scheduled for October 29, 2023. About HEC USAT

The Higher Education Commission, operating through the Education Testing Council ETC, is the authority responsible for conducting the Undergraduate Studies Admission Test USAT. This test is your gateway to securing admission at the undergraduate level in universities across Pakistan. Modeled on the Scholastic Aptitude Test SAT, the USAT encompasses a wide array of disciplines, including Engineering, Medicine, IT, Management, and Social Sciences.

Eligibility Criteria

Who can apply for the Undergraduate Studies Admission Test USAT 2023?

Students who have successfully passed the Higher Secondary School Certificate HSSC or equivalent/Grade 12 education.

Students who have appeared in the final examination and are currently awaiting results.

Students with 12 years of equivalent education in any discipline.

USAT Test Structure

The USAT examination is divided into two parts:

Part 1

Number of test items: 75 Multiple Choice Questions MCQs

Time allowed: 100 minutes

Verbal reasoning: 35 questions

Quantitative reasoning: 40 questions

Part II

Time allowed: 40 minutes

Essay writing skills 400-500 words, which can be completed in either English or Urdu: 25 marks

For consideration, a score of 50 or higher is required to qualify in the USAT. The maximum attainable score is 100.

Test Availability and Registration

The test is initially planned to be conducted quarterly in major cities throughout Pakistan, with simultaneous sessions. Additional test dates may be scheduled based on demand. The yearly test calendar can be accessed on the ETC website, where candidates can register online.

Application Process

To apply for HEC USAT 2023, follow these steps:

Visit the registration link.

For assistance during online registration, consult onlinehelp.hec.gov.pk or visit HEC regional offices.

The application submission process involves two steps: complete your profile in the "My Profile" section and submit your application via the "Undergraduate Studies Admission Test" links on the menu panel.

Only submitted applications will be considered for the USAT, while those in "SAVE" or "INCOMPLETE" status will not be entertained.

Test Fee and Payment

The test fee for the Undergraduate Studies Admission Test USAT is PKR 1,750 per candidate. Payment can be made through various channels, including participating banks, ATMs, Internet banking, mobile apps such as EasyPessa, JazzCash, UPaisa, and more.
