HEC Manages Afghan Short Documentary Contest 2023

Higher Education Commission is going to start a short documentary contest for Afghan students and they are invited to submit their short documentary to highlight their higher education experience in Pakistan. The students can view the HEC Manages Afghan Short Documentary Contest 2023 and the students are allowed to film documentary through smartphones or high-resolution cameras. The candidates are asked to forward their submissions individually or in the group.

Theme
The theme of this contest moves around educational experiences of the Afghan young students, who are studying in Pakistan.

Application Process
The contest is comprised of two phases.

Phase 1: In this phase, the students are asked to submit their short documentary on the basis of original idea and it should not be longer than 60 seconds.

Phase 2: in this phase, the members of the jury will shortlist top 10 entries of the short documentaries and they will intimate the concerned students. the participants will get the information from the nominated Public Relations Officers PROs / Mass Communication Department Faculty Members and they will help the students to submit the short documentation having duration of 4 to 6 minutes on the given theme, being prepared in English language and the subtitles may be translated into two languages like Urdu and Dari.

Technical Requirements
These shortlisted submissions must be prepared in the horizontal format of standard HD 1280 x 720 pixels encoded in H264 .mp4, .mov. The authority recommends the full HD 1920 x 1080 pixels format for better viewing of the documentaries.
Every submitted video must be final edited product free from all rough cuts. These submissions must be added with closing credits with the information of names of the filmmakers, scriptwriter, all participants and stakeholders etc.

The participants must know that they should send their submissions through email to the Project Manager, Allama Muhammad Iqbal Scholarships for Afghan Students via Google Form.

The candidates can also forward their submissions through USB to the Project Director, Human Resource Development Division, HEC, H-9, Islamabad.
