HEC Bachelor & Master Degree New Equivalence
Higher Education Commission of Pakistan has issued instructions to all heads of the public and private universities and degree-awarding institutes to implement the revised Teacher Education Roadmap according to the recommendations of National Curriculum Review Committee in the Education program. The candidates can get the view of HEC Bachelor & Master Degree New Equivalence.
The candidates, who have passed their Associate Degree in Education, they will be allowed to enroll in 5th semester or 3rd year of the 4 years B.Ed degree program. The candidates, who have pass their associate degree in the disciplines other than Education, or two year previous BA / BSc degree, which are now defunct, they will be admitted in the 5th semester or 3rd year of 4 years B.Ed degree program through the bridging semester, after passing their deficiency courses having 15 to 18 credit hours, which are determined by admitting university on case to case basis.
The degree programs of MA Education, M.Ed and BS Education will be considered equal to B.Ed 4 years / B.Ed Hons, B.Ed 2.5 after 14 years of education and B.Ed 1.5 after 16 years of education to get employment and further education.
The graduates, who have completed 16 years of education or equivalent in disciplines other than education, and they want to get the degree in B.Ed, they will be allowed to get admission in the B.Ed 1.5 and it will be comprised of the 45 – 54 credit hours of coursework.
The graduates, who have completed their 16 years of education but not relevant to Education, and they want to get admission in MS or MPhil Education, they are asked to complete the deficiency courses of minimum of 18 credit hours, which is part of that degree program as determined by the admitting university on case-to-case basis.
The candidates can view the nomenclature for Teacher Education Degree will be ‘Bachelor of Education, B.Ed’ from Fall 2023 onwards.

I have done Ade and continued my 5th semester in BEd from different university.
Will HEC provide the equivalency of 16 years in this case?
