HEC Announces Registration for Law Graduate Assessment Test Law-GAT
The Higher Education Commission HEC Pakistan, through its Education Testing Council ETC, is conducting the Law Graduate Assessment Test Law-GAT for law graduates. Law-GAT is mandatory for law graduates seeking enrolment to the Bar as an Advocate.
Who Can Apply
Candidates who have completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Law or an equivalent qualification from a local or foreign university recognized by HEC/PBC.

The test consists of Multiple-Choice Questions MCQs
Qualifying Score: 50 out of 100
Test Schedule
Online Registration Opens: Monday, November 10, 2025
Test Date: Sunday, December 21, 2025
Last Date for Online Registration: Tuesday, November 25, 2025

How to Apply
Carefully verify all personal details Name, CNIC, mobile number, email before submission
Upload a recent passport-size photo with a white or blue background
Test fee must be deposited via 1Link/1Bill invoice Payment Services; verify payment on the ETC dashboard
Select a Test Centre from the available options cannot be changed after registration
Submit the completed application – incomplete applications will not be considered
Important Notes:
Candidates can attempt the test a maximum of 7 times
Those already qualified for Law-GAT or currently enrolled in a Law degree are ineligible
Mobile phones and electronic devices are strictly prohibited in the test center
Roll Number Slips will be emailed and available for download one week before the test
