Gujranwala Board Mandatory Biometric System for 9th & 11th Class
Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Gujranwala has announced a new policy for the online registration and admission of regular students enrolling in Matric Part 1 and Intermediate Part 1 for the 2026–28 academic session. The Gujranwala Board has made online registration compulsory and introduced a biometric verification system for students appearing in Exams. As part of this process, live fingerprint scanning of both thumbs will be conducted during the registration and admission stage to ensure accurate identification of candidates. Students and school authorities are encouraged to stay informed about further updates related to this initiative. Requirements for Biometric Equipment and Registration Procedure
The board has directed all affiliated institutions to arrange biometric devices along with laptops or computers at their own expense before the official registration schedule is issued. Schools must ensure that students’ thumb impressions are captured live while entering their data online. The board has clearly stated that registrations without biometric verification will not be accepted, and any failure in this regard will be the responsibility of the respective institutions.
