Programs Offered

Prospective students have the opportunity to enroll in two distinct programs:

1. Diploma in Community Midwifery Two Years

This program spans over two years, equipping students with the skills and knowledge needed to serve as midwives within community healthcare settings. Its a comprehensive course designed to provide a deep understanding of midwifery practices and community-oriented healthcare.

2. Diploma in Midwifery One Year - Post General Nursing

For those who have already completed their General Nursing diploma, this one-year program in Midwifery offers a specialized focus on midwifery practices. It enhances their competencies and prepares them to excel in the field of midwifery care.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for these diploma programs, candidates need to meet the following criteria:

Successful completion of Matric with Science minimum 45% or FSC Pre-Medical with a minimum of 45% marks, or Matric Science with at least 45% marks or Matric Arts with a minimum of 50% marks.

Age limit: 15-35 years

Only female candidates can apply for these programs.

For the one-year Diploma in Midwifery after General Nursing, candidates must have completed the Diploma in General Nursing.

Admission Procedure

The admission process for these programs is as follows:

Admission forms can be obtained from Ghurki Trust Teaching Hospital, College of Nursing.

The deadline for form submission is 30th September 2023.

A merit list showcasing successful candidates will be displayed on 5th October 2023.
