GCU Lahore Expands Intermediate Program with 1200 New Seats
Government College University Lahore has announced a significant increase in available seats for its intermediate programs, offering an additional 1,200 seats on an open merit basis. This move aims to accommodate more students and provide expanded access to quality education. The new admissions will be available in two different shifts: the second shift from 2 PM to 6 PM at the Main Campus, and the morning shift at the Kala Shah Kaku KSK Campus. New Shifts and Subjects Offered
At the Main Campus, the second shift will include various academic streams such as Pre-Medical, Pre-Engineering, Computer Science, General Science, Commerce, and Humanities. Meanwhile, the KSK Campus will offer morning shift admissions for Pre-Medical, Pre-Engineering, and Computer Science disciplines.
Commitment to Quality Education and Nationwide Access
Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Muhammad Omer Chaudhry emphasized GCUs ongoing dedication to intermediate education, even after the universitys elevation to a higher status. He highlighted that the university continues to operate a dedicated directorate for intermediate studies, reflecting its commitment to promoting accessible education. The university also aims to attract high-achieving students from various parts of the country, including remote regions such as Gilgit-Baltistan, Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Sindh.
The Kala Shah Kaku Campus, now open for intermediate students, is equipped with modern educational facilities, including specially designed classrooms, hostels, and a shuttle service to enhance the academic experience for students. This initiative is expected to significantly expand enrollment opportunities and provide students with a chance to pursue their intermediate education at a prestigious institution.
