Federal Government Reopens Universities after 15 July

The federal government is considering reopening of the universities after 15 July. The federal government closed down all educational institutes, when the lockdown was imposed all over the country because of the threat of the coronavirus in the country. Now during the first phase, the universities will be opened from 15 July but they are asked to observe the SOPs in order to maintain the safety in the university. The federal government has issued the directives to chairman, HEC to consult with all universities to reopen them and also finalize the policy in this matter. The HEC has also called the online meeting of the VCs of all universities to seek their suggestions on this issue. The federal education minister also said that the universities will be reopened after Eid and they will observe the SOPs and the universities will reopen to test the effectiveness of suggested SOPs but the proper classes will be started after Eid.
