Commitment to Reducing Educational Gaps

During a recent meeting led by Federal Education Secretary Mohyuddin Ahmad Wani, ministry officials and UNESCO representatives confirmed plans to equip 80 government girls schools with advanced IT infrastructure. Secretary Wani highlighted the project as a crucial step towards addressing the educational inequalities faced by students in these remote areas, especially in eight districts in AJK and GB, where this technology will target primary-level education.

Features of Smart Classrooms

The smart classrooms will integrate interactive tools, digital educational content, and customized learning platforms, giving students an engaging, hands-on learning experience. According to Secretary Wani, this new environment will stimulate creativity, foster critical thinking, and improve problem-solving skills among young girls, enhancing their connection to the curriculum.

Teacher Training Program for Technological Adaptation

A specialized training program for teachers will accompany the initiative, with a focus on integrating AI-enabled tools into classroom teaching. Educators will be trained in effectively using digital resources, enhancing both teaching quality and student learning outcomes. Secretary Wani stressed that empowering local teachers is vital to the projects success, enabling them to create inclusive and effective learning environments that cater to the needs of girls in primary schools.

A Commitment to Inclusive Education

Secretary Wani described this project as a "valuable gift" for girls in underserved communities, as it provides them with access to quality education and skilled teachers trained in digital tools. The initiative reflects the shared vision of the Ministry of Education and UNESCO to foster an innovative, inclusive educational system. “Through these efforts, we are preparing young girls in AJK and GB with the skills they need to succeed in a digital world,” he added
