Federal Board Announce Scholarships For Madrassa Students
On the instructions of Federal Minister for Education and Vocational Training Shafqat Mahmood, the Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education issued a notification for awarding scholarships to students of madrassas.
Federal Minister Shafqat Mehmood while issuing instructions to the Federal Board said that 20 students of madrassas who would show outstanding performance in SSC and HSSC examinations would be awarded annual scholarships.
Rs. 25,000 / - from the Federal Board for best performance in Matriculation for next two years and students who have excelled in Intermediate will be given admission in the field of Medical for next 5 years and students who will get admission in Engineering Program Will be awarded a scholarship for the next 4 years.
Shafqat Mahmood said that the promotion of education is one of the top priorities of the government and since the role of religious schools and centers in the promotion of education is commendable and an indisputable fact. In addition, a meeting was held under the chairmanship of the Federal Minister for Education to review the progress of the 'Skilled Pakistan Program'.
