FBISE Special Facilitation for Overseas SSC Candidates
The Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education has officially announced the partial postponement of the FBISE SSC Annual Examination 2026 for specific international centers. This decision, finalized in a high-level meeting on Tuesday, comes in response to the growing geopolitical uncertainty and security concerns in the Gulf region. The board has prioritized student safety as the Middle East crisis continues to impact regional logistics and transport.
Affected Regions and Countries
According to the official notification, the postponement is strictly limited to four specific countries. The matric exams postponed status applies only to:
- United Arab Emirates UAE
- Kuwait
- Bahrain
- Iran
For students in these regions, the issuance of roll number slips has been temporarily withheld. FBISE Chairman Prof. Dr. Ikram Ali Malik stated that the board will review the security situation within the next 15 days to determine a new schedule for these centers.
Status of Other International Centers
It is important to note that this is a partial postponement. The Federal Board has confirmed that examinations at all other overseas examination centers in different countries will proceed exactly as per the previously notified dates. Students in Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Oman, and other international locations should continue their preparations for the exams starting March 30 2026.
